    Skill Level

    Typically, the job requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or any related field. In some cases, heavy relevant work experience (up to five years) is accepted in place of education. Diploma diplomas in software testing, quality assurance (QA), or specific tools and techniques, such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board), can also contribute to recruitment opportunities.

    English Requirement

    In order to qualify for a visa, applicants must demonstrate English proficiency in one of the following tests:

    IELTS: At least 6 in Writing, Listening, and Reading; 7 in Speaking; and 7 overall.
    OET: At least grade B in all categories.
    TOEFL iBT: At least 12 in Listening, 13 in Reading, 21 in Writing, 23 in Speaking, and overall score of 93.
    PTE Academic: 50 minimum in Writing, Reading, and Listening; 65 in Speaking; overall score of 65.

    Tasks to Perform

    Test Planning: Prepare test plans and strategies against software requirements and design specifications to guide the testing effort.
    Test Case Design and Implementation: Develop and execute test cases to test software applications to validate functionality, performance, security, and usability as per business requirements.
    Bug Reporting and Identification: Report or identify defects or issues in the software, providing detailed bug reports to developers for resolution.
    Manual and Automated Testing: Conduct both manual and automated testing with various testing tools and frameworks to give extensive coverage to the software system.
    Performance Testing: Test the performance of the software, including load testing and stress testing, to ensure that it can handle expected traffic, data, and user interactions.
    Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to confirm that new changes or updates do not introduce new defects or negatively impact the existing functionality.
    User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Facilitate user acceptance testing by confirming that the software meets the end-user requirements and business objectives before release.
    Documentation and Reporting: Maintain test documentation, e.g., test cases, test results, and defect reports, and provide regular updates on the progress of testing to project stakeholders.
    Collaboration with Development Team: Work closely with developers and software engineers to identify and resolve defects, providing input on software performance and functionality.
    Security Testing: Identify potential security vulnerabilities in the software and ensure the software is up to industry security standards.
    Test Automation: Automate testing processes wherever feasible, using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestComplete to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
    Continuous Improvement: Review testing procedures and methodologies to recommend improvements and improve the overall testing life cycle.
