Skill Level
An associate degree, diploma, or advanced diploma in engineering design, mechanical engineering drafting, or a related field is typically the requirement. A minimum of five years of relevant work experience may, in certain cases, be substituted for formal education. Proficiency in CAD systems such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor is helpful in obtaining employment.
English Requirement
In order to qualify for a visa, applicants must demonstrate English proficiency in one of the following tests:
IELTS: At least 6 in Writing, Listening, and Reading; 7 in Speaking; and 7 overall.
OET: At least grade B in all categories.
TOEFL iBT: At least 12 in Listening, 13 in Reading, 21 in Writing, 23 in Speaking, and overall score of 93.
PTE Academic: 50 minimum in Writing, Reading, and Listening; 65 in Speaking; overall score of 65.
Tasks to Perform
Technical Drawings and Drafting: Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and blueprints using CAD software to support engineering projects.

3D Modeling and Prototyping: Create three-dimensional models and prototypes to model and test designs before they are produced.
Documentation and Compliance: Follow industry standards, regulations, and company specifications for all drawings and plans.
Technical Calculations: Perform basic engineering calculations to assist mechanical designs and ensure functionality.
Revision and Modification of Designs: Update and modify mechanical drawings based on engineer comments and project needs.
Manufacturing Support: Provide technical assistance to production teams in the form of accurate drawings and specifications.
Quality Control and Inspection: Assist in ensuring quality by reviewing technical drawings and mistakes.
Project Coordination: Coordinate with designers, engineers, and production personnel to ensure that projects are completed correctly and efficiently.
